Tomorrow.
Tomorrow.
Tomorrow.
We’re seeing the seventy-fourth annual Hunger Games come to life in a movie theater before our very eyes tomorrow at midnight.
Real or not real?
Real.
Tomorrow, our long, long, journey will finally come to an end.
If I never get to thank you at the movie theater…
If I never get to meet you personally…
Just know I had the time of my life waiting for this movie with you.
We fell in love with Jennifer Lawrence and screeched “THIS ISN’T TWILIGHT! THERE ARE NO TEAMS!” and declared Liam as the third wheel and made the best bread jokes and smiled at Josh’s obsessive love for the cave scene. Together. All of us. This crazy, insane, marvelous, beautiful fandom.
…I guess the point I’m trying to narrow down to with this post is this:
It feels like only yesterday tomorrow was one hundred days away.
But finally, tomorrow is here.
And so there’s really only two more things to say—May the odds be ever in your favor, and (Because of Josh) Hunger Games Hunger Games.
(Oh, and if you read all of this, I love you like Peeta loves Katniss. And that’s real love.)
“I just keep wishing I could think of a way to show that they don’t own me. If I’m gonna die, I wanna still be me. ”
How about I share my top five?
- The train ride to the Capitol
- The tracker-jacker scene
- Rue’s death
- The cave scene ;)
- The mutts/Cato’s death/the berries

On reading “The Hunger Games” books:
“I tore through them in like five days – I loved it. And I loved Peeta. It was scary to me how much I connected with Peeta. He had this belief that no matter what circumstances you’re put into, you maintain being true to yourself, and that’s one of my golden morals. In this business especially, you have a lot of opportunities to be fake. When Peeta goes into the games, he’s not going to let it change who he is. And I’m going into the game of the acting world, and I’m not going to let it change who I am.”
- Josh Hutcherson for NYLON guys [February/March 2012]
